Alex, the manager, was excellent and made us feel very welcome. Our waiter, Hugo, was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs throughout the meal. The food was wonderful—full of flavor and beautifully plated. The atmosphere was inviting and well put together. Overall, we give it a 9.6 out of 10.

Hands-down, some of the most amazing food I’ve had in Wilmington. Let me first start by saying I was stationed to Spain for two years and because of that became a bit of a sangria snob So when I order the sangria, my expectations weren’t much but after my first sip, it was clear Vochos knows how to make a great sangria. For food started off with Ostras Gratinadas- 6 fresh baked oysters / mexican sausage macha sauce / chihuahua cheese / white wine coriander / serrano pepper - WOW! For dinner I had Passion Fruit Tiradito unicorn fish / passion fruit caviar / cilantro-chive oll / sweet potato purée / green enions / citrus aguschile negro - this was an elegantly put together dish, my taste buds and my palate were delightfuly pleased with so much flavor. I finished the my my night withbthe Choco Flan - nothing disappointing about my experience, cant wait to het back!

Finally got to experience this place, and it was absolutely worth the wait! Two visits in, and I'm thoroughly impressed. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service are all outstanding. It's a clean, bright, and sophisticated space with incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented dishes. The staff is fantastic, and meeting the owner was a highlight. This restaurant is a fantastic addition to Wilmington, and I'll definitely be back.

Wilmington, I am begging you—PLEASE don’t sleep on this place! My husband and I went on a Friday night and were seated right away. Honestly, after the experience we had, we were shocked it wasn’t packed. The atmosphere is vibrant and fun without being overstimulating, which I really appreciated. Every detail—from the decor to the service, and especially the food—was absolutely top-notch. We started with the birria bao buns, and wow… they were insanely good. The crispiness of the buns, the rich birria filling, and the fresh toppings came together to create one of the best bites I’ve ever had. For our mains, we had the enchiladas and tacos, and both were packed with flavor and tasted so fresh. We couldn’t resist dessert and ended up trying both the tres leches and the espresso chocolate flan. They were so good we couldn’t even decide which one we liked more. I wish I could remember our waitress’s name—she was the sweetest and gave us some really solid recommendations. We were checked on multiple times by different staff members, and everyone was incredibly friendly and kind. We’ll definitely be back to try the ramen birria and wagyu burger next time!

We had dinner here for the first time tonight and it was a wonderful experience! The service was excellent and very attentive! My husband had one of the best old fashion he’s ever had! The food was so beautiful, I felt guilty eating it but we did and it was delicious! Will definitely be returning.

This is a great restaurant. The cuisine is not your typical Mexican fare but an eclectic menu of dishes from a new generation of top chefs in Mexico City. Meet the owner Alex and hear the story behind the establishment. Everything is delicious! The staff is thoughtful and friendly with class.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A True Gem in Wilmington! Wow—Vochos Mexican Restaurant absolutely blew me away! I had the skirt steak and let me just say… perfection. Tender, juicy, packed with flavor—easily one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. We also ordered the pork belly guacamole and the mole and queso appetizer, and both were phenomenal. That mole and queso combo might be the best appetizer I’ve ever had—hands down a 10 out of 10 experience across the board. Our waitress Stephanie was amazing—so helpful walking us through the menu and genuinely caring about making sure we were well taken care of. The level of service made the whole experience that much better. To top it all off, the owner, Alex, personally came by and made us feel like VIPs. He shared stories, gave great food recommendations, and really made the evening feel special. It’s rare to see that kind of passion and hospitality firsthand. And let’s not forget the decor—absolutely top notch. You can tell this place doesn’t just focus on food, but on creating a beautiful, welcoming environment. Every detail feels intentional. I love when a restaurant goes above and beyond, not just with what’s on the plate but with the atmosphere too. Vochos is a true gem in Wilmington. If you haven’t been, you’re seriously missing out. Can’t wait to come back!

I'm really torn on giving 4 or 5 stars. The food was very flavorful. The service was great. The atmosphere is elegant. I just don't feel the price matches the food. My 11yo daughter ordered a ceviche and it wasn't enough food and it cost $24. She had to eat off everyone else's plates to feel full/satisfied. That shouldn't be the case for a main course. For comparison, my husband got a large bowl of ramen for $17 that he didn't finish. However, everything was delicious, even the unsweetened tea.
